Client Introduction
DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital was founded in 1973 by Mr. A.B. Lewis, in cooperation with the Portland Veterinary Medical Association, and in memory of Mr. Lewis' late wife, Dove.
Originally, the clinic hours were limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays to serve people and their pets when daytime clinics were traditionally closed. In June of 1992, DoveLewis opened its doors around the clock to treat animals requiring emergency and critical care, 24 hours a day.
Today DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital is the only non-profit animal hospital in Portland, Oregon, devoted exclusively to emergency and critical care for animals 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Project Overview
Big B Creations was approached to design and implement a lost and found pet database to serve the greater Portland metropolitan area.
After a comprehensive analysis of the system requirements and potential solutions for the client, Big B Creations developed an online centralized lost pet reporting and search system to allow staff members' the ability to post information and images of stray pets brought into the hospital as well as provide service to the general public to report a lost or found pet.

Following it's implementation, the Online pet reporting System was a complete success. Tiffini Mueller and staff members were quick to adopt the new system without little training required. Communication between hospital and the general public has been improved and the lost pet reporting service for the general public has proved to be an invaluable resource.
