Diamond Parking is the oldest parking company worldwide. For over 80 years, Diamond Parking has set the standard in the parking industry. Diamond Parking has provided solutions on any project related to parking — from design and equipment to leasing and management — from airport parking to special parking programs — Diamond Parking produces results at a lower cost than anyone else in their industry.

Project Overview

Diamond Parking approached Big B Creations to develop a Parking Ticket Payment System that would automate their current manual billing process. The system was required to seamlessly and transparently integrate with the existing application and maintain a consistent and familiar interface to minimize staff re-training.


In close collaboration with Diamond Parking technical staff, Big B Creations developed a system that automated the entire ticket payment process, at the same time adding new functionality giving staff much greater control over all aspects of client billing. To reduce overall cost and complexity of implementation, elements of the existing system, as well as software already developed for Diamond Parking was utilized. The system featured the following functionality:


  • Allows Diamond Parking customers to search for Tickets and make payments online using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption to protect confidential banking information.
  • Website queries Real Time database of all tickets entered into Corporate Ticket Tracking Database to allow Diamond Parking customers to pay Parking Penalties more quickly.
  • Connects to Internet Merchant Payment Gateway for Credit Card verification and Processing before transferring funds into Diamond Parking bank accounts.

The implementation of the ticket payment system resulted in a much more efficient and accurate client collection process. The automation also meant a reduction in human interaction, therefore reducing the likelihood of errors in the system. Being able to search Real Time records of outstanding Parking Penalties improves cash flow and increases chances of collecting.
