Download and run this program to use the Dial-Up Accelerator:

...and then follow these simple instructions.

Install

On your Desktop you will find an icon called "[accel.exe for Windows or accel.dmg for McIntosh]". Double-click the icon to start the installation procedure.

Once the installation finishes you will be prompted for a username and password. Enter your username and password. The username will be something like your E-mail@ipns.com only using your Dial-Up username.

To avoid having to keep entering your username and password each time, ensure that the "Save Password" box is checked.

Starting CST Accelerator

CST Accelerator is automatically started when your computer starts up. Internet acceleration will begin as soon as a supported browser (such as Internet Explorer) is started.

On some Windows platforms a bubble icon will appear when the CST Accelerator service has been established. On all other Windows platforms, you can verify that CST Accelerator Service has been established by selecting CST Accelerator Status from the pop-up menu.

Browse the web as you normally would. When finished, simply close your browser and CST Accelerator will remain idle in your system tray.

ISDN Internet Access

With ISDN lines into your home or business, you can cruise the Internet with an all-digital connection. Integrated Services Digital Network connections can reach speeds of 128 kilobits per second, four to five times faster than many analog modems. Connecting with ISDN is usually about 3-4 seconds and you are using E-mail, browsing the web or using other Internet services with greater overall speed.

Advantages of ISDN over conventional analog lines. - ISDN is more reliable so there is no such thing as a noisy or fuzzy line. (chances of getting dropped part way through your 19 meg download are drastically reduced to almost nill). - ISDN lines are faster then analogue phone lines which max out at 56kbps (and like everyone with a 56k modem knows, in reality you get 44-50 kbps), ISDN always runs at 64kbps. - You can bond multiple "B" channels to get speeds of 128kbps - Call Setup is very fast (dialing, handshake and authentication), usually under 2 seconds (compared with 15 seconds at least for most analog modems). - With ISDN, you can get 2 calls at the same phone number since both get their own channels (or one line for voice, and the other channel for your Internet connection).
