Search Engine Website Submissions
The vast majority of Internet users find new web sites by using a search engine. A position within the top 20 listings of a major search engine tremendously increases traffic to a web site. By submitting your site to search engines, you will dramatically improve your likelihood of being indexed by them.
Site submission is the process of bringing your site to the attention of search engines and directories. It's the next step after optimization in search engine positioning. A common myth on the Web is that submitting to thousands of “engines” will gain you all kinds of new traffic. In reality, there are not even thousands of “engines” to submit to. The bulk of those submissions go to what are called FFA sites that are not search engines at all. Instead, they are simply a list of links to the last fifty or so URLs that were submitted to the service. Nobody ever uses these lists to find anything because they are just a random list of Web sites, generally with no organization to the list. The primary purpose of these sites is to gather E-mail addresses from Web marketers so they can be sent offers for other products and services. By submitting, you are unknowingly giving your consent for them to E-mail you.
So why do all those submitters on the market submit to these FFA and other "junk" sites? Because the general public perceives that "more is better." Therefore, many of the competitors to WebPosition spend the bulk of their resources trying to add more junk sites to their list so they can say they submit to more than the next guy. However, 95% of the traffic on the Web is going to come to you from the top 15 to 20 engines and that's only if you rank near the top. In addition, if you don't take the time to be positioned near the top of the search results for the sites you do submit to, then the odds of anyone finding your site is extremely remote. Helping you achieve top rankings on the major engines is exactly what our Search Engine Submission Services achieve.
All Search Engines are different
Search engines all use different formulas for indexing and ranking sites. Each one considers a multitude of factors in devising its own unique formula. Every search engine uses its own unique formula, called an algorithm, to index and score web sites. Search engines' algorithms weigh various factors, such as a page's design and links, to rank pages in their search results. By constantly refining and improving their algorithms, search engines hope to give their visitors the most relevant results.
It's not only their ranking formulas. Search engines also differ in how they index sites. Some engines may take three weeks, while others need three months. Some, for various reasons, will never get to your site. Google for example takes 4-6 weeks to crawl and index a website.
Three-Step Website Submission Process
Step 1 - Search Engine Optimization
Consists of adding Keywords and Descriptions to the code in your website. Selecting the best set of keywords is the first step. We can spend a couple of hours selecting keywords for you. We would then create a set of Meta Tags for the keywords and put them into each web page within the site. This is the basic approach with much deeper optimization that can be done.
Step 2 - Create Submission Profile
Create a search engine submission Profile for the website. This consists of pre answering the questions asked by Search Engines upon submitting a page or site for ranking. These answers are used when submitting your site in monthly search engine submissions.
Step 3 - Submit Profile
Use the Profile we created to submit to a list of leading search engines, including Google with E-mailed Reports about the Ranking and Submission results. This generates Organic Search Results, the type found in a routine search and excludes Pay Per Click listings (typically on the Right side or at the Top) of the search results.
